Three ways to dress your bridesmaids
Every bridal party is different. Some brides want a simple, coordinated look at the lowest cost; others want something new that nobody has worn before. That is why we offer three options.
1. Rent from our collection
This is the simplest and most budget-friendly choice, with bridesmaid saree rental starting from Rs. 10,000. Your bridesmaids choose from sarees already in our collection, in the colours that are trending this season. Each saree is fitted for the bridesmaid who will wear it and returned after the wedding, so nobody is left with a saree she may never wear again.
2. First Rent bridesmaid sarees and blouses
Want a fresh look for your bridal party? With First Rent, we make the sarees and blouses new in the colour and style you choose, and your bridesmaids are the first to wear them. After the wedding they are returned, so you get a brand-new set at a rental price. It is the same idea as our First Rent Kandyan saree for brides.
3. Made to order to keep
If your bridesmaids would like to keep their sarees for future weddings and family functions, we can design and make them to order. Each saree and blouse is stitched to the bridesmaid’s own measurements and is hers to keep. If you are also having your own saree made, see our custom bridal sarees.
Not sure which option suits your group? We explain the differences and prices at your free consultation, so you can decide with everything in front of you.
Choosing bridesmaid saree colours
The right bridesmaid colour depends on your own saree. Two approaches work especially well:
- Contrast colours: if you are wearing an off-white or ivory Kandyan saree, rich shades such as deep red, emerald green or royal blue make your bridesmaids stand out beside you and give bold, colourful photographs.
- Soft pastels: peach, lavender and mint green create a gentle, romantic look that sits softly beside the bride without competing with her.
Bring a photo of your bridal saree, or a swatch if you have one, to the consultation. Seeing the colours side by side makes the choice much easier, and we can suggest shades that also suit your bridesmaids’ skin tones.

Fabrics we use for bridesmaid sarees
- Georgette and chiffon: lightweight and flowing, they drape softly and stay comfortable through a long wedding day.
- Net and lace: delicate and elegant, ideal when you want texture and a modern look.
- Silk: rich and traditional with a natural sheen, a good choice for formal weddings.
Your bridesmaids will be standing, walking and dancing for many hours, so comfort matters as much as appearance. We will help you balance the two when you choose the fabric.
Bridesmaid blouse designs
The blouse completes the look. Popular choices include boat necks, V-necks and long sleeves. We also offer a universal blouse design that suits every body type, so bridesmaids of different shapes and sizes look coordinated and feel comfortable. Each blouse is fitted for the bridesmaid who will wear it. See more saree jacket and blouse styles.
Planning for your budget
Bridesmaid outfits add up quickly when you are dressing several people. A few ways to keep the cost under control:
- Rent from our existing collection if a coordinated look at a lower cost matters most.
- Choose First Rent if you want a brand-new, unworn set without paying to keep it.
- Choose made to order if your bridesmaids want to keep their sarees and wear them again.
- Tell us your budget and number of bridesmaids at the start, and we will suggest options that fit.
Bridal robes for getting ready

Matching robes make the getting-ready photographs special and keep everyone comfortable while hair and make-up are done. Our bridal robes for the bride and bridesmaids come in three ways: rent them from Rs. 3,000, choose a First Rent set made new for your party, or buy them to keep as a memento of the day.
Tips for a coordinated bridal party
- Same colour, or a family of shades: identical sarees give a classic, uniform look, while several shades of one colour (for example, three tones of peach) feel softer and more modern.
- Keep one element consistent: if bridesmaids wear different colours, use the same fabric or the same blouse design to tie the group together.
- Match the draping style: ask everyone to wear the saree in the same style on the day, so the group looks planned in photographs.
- Plan jewellery and hair together: similar earrings, flowers or hair accessories complete the coordinated look.
- Think about the venue: very pale pastels can fade against white décor, while deep colours stand out in both indoor and outdoor photographs.
Before your consultation
Having a few details ready helps us suggest the right options quickly:
- Your wedding date and the number of bridesmaids.
- A photo of your bridal saree, or the colour you plan to wear.
- Whether your bridesmaids would like to rent or keep their sarees.
- A rough budget per bridesmaid.
- Which bridesmaids can visit the studio and which will send measurements.
How booking works
- Get in touch: book a free consultation or message us on WhatsApp with your wedding date and number of bridesmaids.
- Choose your option and colours: rent, First Rent or made to order, matched to your bridal saree.
- Try on and confirm the fit: at our Maharagama studio, or a bridesmaid who cannot visit can send her measurements.
- Finishing and alterations: so each saree and blouse fits well.
- Final fitting: a last check before the wedding.
- Ready for your day: your bridesmaids’ sarees are handed over with guidance on wearing them.
Because bridesmaid sets involve several people and fittings, contacting us early gives you the widest choice of colours and fitting dates.

Yes. We plan your bridesmaids’ colours and styles together with your own saree, whether you rent, choose First Rent or have your bridal saree made to order.
Which bridesmaid colours are popular?
Pastels such as peach, lavender and mint green are popular, as are contrast shades such as deep red, emerald green and royal blue, which stand out beautifully beside an off-white bridal saree.
What if a bridesmaid cannot come to the studio?
She can send her measurements, and we will prepare her saree and blouse from them. Final adjustments can be made at a fitting closer to the wedding.
Which fabric is the most comfortable?
Georgette and chiffon are the lightest and most comfortable for long days. Net and lace give a more textured look, and silk suits a more formal wedding.

Can my bridesmaids keep their sarees?
Rental and First Rent sarees are returned after the wedding. If your bridesmaids would like to keep theirs, choose our made-to-order option instead.
When are bridesmaid sarees collected and returned?
Collect the saree the day before your wedding and return it the day after. If you live far from Maharagama, you can collect it two days before the wedding and return it within two days after.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. A refundable deposit is taken when you collect the saree. A dry-cleaning charge applies, and if the saree is damaged, a deduction is made from the deposit depending on the extent of the damage.
What is included in a bridesmaid saree rental?
The rental includes the complete saree with its jacket. Jewellery, veils and saree dressing are not part of the rental.
